A friend of a friend has been given the Honour of taking Helen "The Bell" Turner's Bell down to Wembley today. Will be very emotional for a lot of us old blues when we hear it ring... COME ON CITY!

Wow! What a memory!! I wonder how many heads it will turn when it starts to ring??
I was just saying to my missus, that's one of the memories I cherish from Maine road.

Me too - can still see her sat behind joe ringing that bell - happy days

Sky just talks about how Sunderland will play "back four needs to be solid and everyone know there jobs also the 5 in front of them need to work hard to make it easier for the back four"

We going to have 65/70% possession with Sunderland hitting is on the break and also any time we touch them they will go down like sack of spuds! We need to score 1st and early or it's going to be a borefest

Just poured coffee down my white city shirt on the M6. Fuck sake! come on CITY...
It'll get plenty of celebratory beer all over later (hopefully!!!) so I wouldn't worry too much!

Get it rinsed out and hung out the window!! Dry in no time at all!!

Safe journey.

Quite a reasoned comment by Guy Mowbray from the BBC Sports website...

MATCH PREVIEW

If you are not a Manchester City or Sunderland supporter then you'd probably better stop reading, because what I'm about to say might upset some of you.

The main reason I'm looking forward to the first big final of the season is because of the fans that will be there. If ever two sets of supporters deserved the chance to try to out sing one another at Wembley it's these two. I know what some will be thinking: 'City's ground is a library', 'they're at Wembley every year', 'gloryseekers' etc - but I'm talking about the seasoned Manchester City followers who endured underachievement bordering on comedy for years and years before the stargazing boom times they're enjoying now. It might be City's sixth visit to HQ in a little under three years, but that debt owed from the dark times is a long way from being paid yet.
