With the Euro's just round the corner, it got me thinking.
Would we, as English Champions, be a match for the national side.
Indeed would we be more than a match, and beat them more often than not.
Obviously it's subjective. But I think we probably would.
Thoughts ?

There's been a few topics on this. I posted one a couple of months back and had the old Titanic and Hitler dead photos, so I'd put your tin had on!

think bar the german and spanish national sides the top clubs from england spain and germany/italy would give a good showing of themselves in the euro's and most would feel disappointed if they didn't reach quarter final stages at least

City would absolutely destroy England. The top 3 or 4 international teams against the top 3 or 4 club teams would be fairly close, but after that, Champions League is a far higher standard than International football.

Euro Club Index worked this out (somehow)

You might not agree with all the order but City were well above England.

1 Real Madrid
2 Barcelona
3 Man United
4 Spain
5 Man City
6 Bayern Munich
7 Chelsea
8 Holland
9 FC Porto
10 Germany
11 Brazil
12 Borussia Dortmund
13 Arsenal
14 Uruguay
15 AC Milan
16 Atletico Madrid
17 Benfica
18 Italy
19 Shakhtar Donesk
20 Argentina
21 England
22 Valencia
23 Ajax
24 Zenit
25 Juventus
26 Lille
27 Spurs
28 Chilie
29 Croatia
30 PSV
31 Mexico
32 Portugal
33 Sweden
34 Ivory Coast

Remember also that club sides know each other far better due to the number of games they play.
