City v United Beijing friendly pre match - CANCELLED

Wimbledon.

Not exactly like for like comparison, the birds nest was designed for the summer Olympic games, for which it proved perfectly fit for purpose, for a better comparison do the Etihad or West Ham's Olympic stadium have retractable roofs?? Do you think the Chinese should have shelled out a shed load on a roof just so a friendly game can be played 8 years later?

Yes.

I'm easily embarrassed by the club, I sit in the corner blushing whenever Txiki doesnt get a player signed up quickly enough for my liking, as an example of this almost crippling condition.
It must be awful to be subject to such an affliction. Are you someone who would widely be considered to be mentally weak or ineffectual?

Reports that this is off due to bad weather. Not confirmed though

It hasn't rained here since around 5AM or so this morning, the sun is shining, it's around 30C, the weather forecasts do say there's a chance of thunderstorms later on today. As I mentioned earlier in this thread, the City reps told me this morning that the game is on as far as they are concerned. If I see a report on this site: http://www.mancity.com/ saying the game is off, then I'll believe it. Until then I'm enjoying my pint of Tiger at happy hour prices whilst watching the world pass by the window on a sunny afternoon.
