Need some quick help. Does anyone have any breakdowns of each clubs expenditure over the last few years. Got a rag mate mouthing off about how much city have spent. Didn't their Derby sauad cost more than ours?

The way they always justify it is by ignoring transfer inflation. Naturally more recent spending is a bigger figure than past spending. As they're finding out now when lashing out £150 million in one window.

This money talk is getting boring now. Other clubs have out spent us for a few seasons now yet we still hear the same old shite. Best thing to do is agree with people that we have spent money and ruined english football as well. We all know the facts so let them have there pointless jibes.

Their team in the last derby was the most expensive team ever fielded in the Premier League

Since Mancini took over we've spent £299m nett to their £282m nett according to <a class="postlink" href="http://www.transferleague.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.transferleague.co.uk/</a>

In the last four seasons they've spent £269m nett to our £176m nett from the same site. Chelsea have spent £200m nett and Liverpool £141m nett over the same period.

Probably best not to include the pre Mancini years.

Net spend for United, City and Chelsea broadly the same for last 5 years
