City v Utd post match

What's annoying me about the derby is the media narrative that it was a boring game, and both teams were responsible for that. Personally, I didn't find it boring. I was quite comfortable in that we were trying to get that elusive goal, and rarely looked like conceding.

The media, led by Durham, Cundy et al, would have it that City were as much to blame as United for that. Totally unjustified. United were solely responsible for their dreadfully boring, but nevertheless successful tactics. Is football an entertainment? Not if your name's Mourinho.

Any media involvement tends to go for black or white and that then tends to be the way the game is viewed. It wasn't boring but it wasn't great either. The only part of the game and therefore for Utd fans was the fact that they didn't try to play football and just came with that big red bus to park.
Scum fans I have spoken withactually thought that the first half was 50/50 and they were going for it! Talk about deluded. They played long balls for their speedsters and inevitably got behind us. But that was 2 or 3 times at most and what did they create, nothing excpet the one Bravo gave them.

Trouble is we were not at our best and couldnt squeeze the goal we deserved. I remain baffled at why mourinho didn't feel confident enough to attack our "weak" defence but some scum fans are brainwashed into believing it was the right tactic and a draw was a great result. When I said the same approach at Arsenal and Spurs would guarantee they would not make the top 4 they just went quiet.

Law 11 Offside

Offside position
It is not an offence to be in an offside position.

A player is in an offside position if:
any part of the head, body or feet is in the opponents’ half (excluding the halfway line) and
any part of the head, body or feet is nearer to the opponents’ goal line than both the ball and the second-last opponent
The hands and arms of all players, including the goalkeepers, are not considered.
A player is not in an offside position if level with the:
second-last opponent or
last two opponents

Above from TheFA website

Jesus was in offside position - unfortunately he popped the ball in the net so was deemed active and free kick awarded against him

United fans complain bitterly when teams park the bus against them. Yet they congratulate Mourinho as a genius when he parks three buses and ten trucks against City....haha!!!!!...you just gotta laugh at them.

When Alladyce parked the bus at Stamford Bridge a few years ago Maureen called it 1950s football. When he does the exact same thing he genuinely considers himself a tactical genius. The man is an insecure, deluded egomaniac. I think he's struggling at the Rags and there are early signs of him starting to create the unusual disharmony that he inevitably brings to proceedings.

How many goals have we conceded from free kicks that we have defended with a high line?

I have better things to do than have a running total.
You may remember a notable one in Monaco, which resulted in exit from CL.
The fact is that the players are totally ill at ease with the tactic. If you go to matches you would be aware of this.
