CITY v Wigan - Official Match Thread

Is this lineup really good enough to crush Wigan?

What do you guys think?

It should be although I don't like the look of a Viera and De Jong midfield we should still have enough to beat Wigan

Do you think the reason Barry is dropped is because Mancini wants to rest him or do you think the reason is that he is fed up?

I guess Ireland is considered injured to not even get on the bench before Sylvinho?

With Sweep and AJ starting I'm guessing the gameplan will be to get down the flanks and get some crosses in

A combination of both probably. Would rather we gave Ibrahim a run out alongside Viera rather than De Jong though. I just can't see those two giving the forwards much support although hopefully I will be proved wrong

Interesting line up

Zab - Toure - Kompany - Garrido

SWP - De Jong - Vieira - Johnson

---- Tevez - Adebayor ----

we are now relying on viera to get forward and support the atacking 4

can he do this all game????

im hoping it will be more of a 4-4-1-1 with teverz dropping slightly deeper to help link the play

good to see that (hopefuly) jonno will be on the left so he can whip crosses in with his left instead of having to cut back onto his eft foot (when he plays on the right) and therefore slowing the play down...this will allow ade to attak a cross at pace

it always worries me when garrido plays though

barry needed dropping.

interesting midfield, lets see how we get on down the flanks this first half...
