City v Wigan | Post Match

Got home a couple of hours ago.
Very impressive performance for 10 first team changes. Yaya 's free kick immense, Jovetic on form, Fern some quality interceptions and the first little flick over the top to Dzeko was unreal, Jimmy MOTM run his socks off and very creative. Negredo just Wow.
Cannot believe the way we are playing at the moment and the way things have clicked. Let's March on and hammer Villa then Bayern Wednesday!!

What a difference a week makes :)

Went with my brother and mate, got moved from season card seats into level 1 colin bell. Really enjoyed the night! Well worth the admission fee, atmosphere was surprisingly good too!

I think people might come to more midweek/cup games now that we put on a show. Mancini was always prone to shutting off after 2-0 or playing so negatively to limit injuries. Pellegrini just put on Toure, Navas and Negredo and we bagged 5! Brilliant night.

"we have a technical problem"

That was the message on Sky Sports in South Africa so I never saw a thing.

Good play and a good result for City but I should think that Wigan are relieved to be out of the competition. I heard they had 9 changes from the weekend (us 10) and they have enough to deal with with the obligatory Europa League games whilst they're trying to get back into the Premier League.

Serious competition for ourselves, United and Liverpool. It may be United's and Liverpool's only route into European football next season! - alternatively, if a CL qualifier such as City win it and the EL place goes by PL position. Important that our competitors are in Europe next year as it will tire them out!

A good watch tonight, here in Scandinavia we actually had it on the telly. Jovetic enjoyed himself with some good play but I still rate Aguero and Negredo as our first choice. Milner excellent tonight, Clichy looked a bit rusty. Fernandinho and Yaya immense. Interesting to see Lescott and Boyata together. Boyata doing some silly mistakes but he tries to be creative at least. Lescott scared of the ball even in a one-way affair like this.

Jovetic has great potential. Check some of his games in Italy. If proper managed and with no injury you will be suprised of end result. I think his phisical, mental, intelectual (game-plan) potential is on higher level than Aguero's and Negredo's.

Interesting to see Coyle blaming soft goals....after Rooney claiming Sunday was down to their bad defending.

I wonder how many other teams will blame themselves in these circumstances and how May will credit us.
