City Voice - Champions League Questionnaire

Just had an e-mail asking me to fill in a questionnaire about my feelings on the Champions League.

As I detest the whole circus I gave it them with both barrels, I suspect that I will not be alone though I fully understand if some of you love the thing - I just can not stand it.

The Premier League is the be all and end all as far as I am concerned.

I'm with you bud, that's how I responded to this new survey.

City aren't daft, they will be thinking - why are many ST holders who are in cup schemes not subscribing also to the CL cup scheme?

It's because the whole competition is farcical. Fixed and corrupt and I don't have much time for watching Bayern vs. Real Madrid/Barcelona every other fucking week.

Added to this it's more of a chore attending the home matches as the atmosphere is usually flat with the stadium packed full of tourists making up the numbers for the regulars who would rather we watched us playing against Barnsley or Brentford in a league cup game :D

I will however be attending some of the away fixtures as I enjoy a trip to places I've never been before such as Juventus.

I also enjoyed the Europa League/UEFA Cup runs more than this Chumps League as we played in some memorable matches... Aris, Aris? who the fuck is Aris :D

I didn't hold back either, UEFA are a detestable organisation and the CL is just a self-serving money spinner for the traditional elite. Only thing receiving mild praise was the tickets prices for Juventus

Think the end part where they asked your opinion on possible ties is being used to gauge interest for future ticket prices. Could be wrong though. Most got not very interested anyway, fed up of playing some teams in the CL more regularly than premiership sides

Obviously we need to do well in this and eventually win it. But I had fun writing the detailed replies for this. As for my three words to describe this competition:

1) Corrupt
2) Disgusting
3) Reprehensible

I put indifferent for every single team - I go to watch City, doesn't matter who the opposition is.

The word Corrupt was certainly used more than once in my responses, it is a competition i hate with a passion, but my love for City is such that i will probably attend the home games against my better judgement!

i can really not understand the disgust towards the competition...dont we want to play teams like real, barca, bayern, juventus.... you would rather go see us play watford then compete among the worlds best teams? totally mind blown and i get that it is corrupt but showing you are the top team in the world means something i could care less if it is corrupt or not I want to see us compete and beat the best teams
