The South Stand, or even though it should be the "Ashton New Road" stand, I'd go for "Turing Stand".
Why the FUCK would it be the 93:20 stand when that moment happened at the stand opposite?

The South Stand, or even though it should be the "Ashton New Road" stand, I'd go for "Turing Stand".

They have just asked me if I would like it named after a "Citizen" and to name one if I did.
Told them it was a daft idea and that it should be named the "We Hate Platini Stand".
I agree, a ridiculous idea and I responded immediately saying I "hated " it as that was the box in the survey that fitted my views most accurately.Can you imagine The Kop being called `Billy` one week and `Our Kid` the next?
It is though a good idea to name the stand. The name needs longevity, resonance with our fans and the opposition, be part of our history and still be part of our bright future, relate to the type of fans now occupying and who will occupy the stand in the future and be related to the club and fans as a whole rather than an individual player. We can not call it `The Ashton New Road Stand` nor leave it as `The South Stand`. Whereas it is not along the side, what are your views on it being named,`THE KIPPAX` (though some may argue for `The New Kippax`).

How hard is it to call something the Kippax?
Every bloody year they ask us about it and I'd wager every year they get the same Kippax based answer back. Half of them have probably never even heard of the Kippax.
The Cityzens Stand the muppets. Naming it after a fan every week is such a shit gimmick and as the voting is online will immediately be exploited. @Didsbury Dave will go off his head when he finds out the amount of Cheese in this

The East Stand is THE KIPPAX
The Club are asking for ideas about officially re-naming the South Stand. Whereas some of us may occasionally refer to the East Stand as The Kippax that is an unofficial reference amongst,probably, not that many. I take your point, the East Stand is opposite the Main Stand (West Stand,Colin Bell Stand) and originally was occupied mainly by fans who had transferred from Maine Road`s `New Kippax`. The `singers` for want of a better word, will mainly congregate behind the goal in the currently named South Stand. In the spirit of The Kippax, why not recognise the name formally,forever, and why not now for the new South Stand?
