Decent first half. Started with a lot of energy and fight but Garcia going off seemed to change the game in their favour.

Second half we were shocking both in possession and without it.

Lucky to get a draw.

Agree with this for me it all went pair shaped when Rodwell have that ball away City just couldn't keep Hold of it after that. A point good be a blessing in disguise but deep down I can't see us getting out of the group and for some silly reason I'm not bothered. Would much rather finish bottom than 3rd tho I want to win the Prem again.

They were much better than us in nearly every department. They have spent a fraction what we have but have an incredible team. Klopp will be a future candidate to manage City I believe when the vacancy appears, his style of football is hard to play against and would be brilliant in the Premier League. I continue to worry at how indirect we are, nearly everything is slow build and European teams seem to know how to play us.
Klopp won't leave BVB.

The earlier Mancini realizes that Yaya isn't a DMF the better the team would play . Yaya is more like a link between the Defense and the Attack , he just can't be used to play the "stagnant" role of a defensive Midfielder . We've seen on numerous occasions how he picks the ball up from the Defensive midfield and burst towards the attack line .

The problem here, and I don't often see it mentioned, is that Yaya (as fantastic as a player he can be) is stroppy and ill-disciplined half the time. He doesn't work in a two man midfield because he isn't prepared to run and cover. Utterly woeful tonight his constant long balls to Aguero (not even Dzeko) saw us under pressure time and time again. Was impressed with Silva tonight though, good to see him getting back up to form. Gotze absolutely dominated the game, almost destined to be the next Hazard-style saga.

Where can I see distance covered stats?

Game in stats:
Company: 86 passes; 90%(the most) completed, 28 to Nastasic and 11 to Yaya .. NONE to Silva
Nastasic: 100 passes(the most), 19 to Company and 16 to Yaya, only 2 to Silva
Silva: had ONLY 44 passes ( 77% PC)and Yaya had 95 passes( 79% PC)
Dzeko received only 19 passes, none from Aguero though, who had 30 passes in total of which ONLY 43 % completed

Its funny how we try to make Dortmund look like Barcelona .

Dortmund lost to hamburg , Drew with Nurnberg and drew with the newly promoted Frankfurt BUT somehow "managed" to hold the champions of England to a draw .

Yes, true, but they are coming off a 5-0 (!!) hammering of Mönchengladbach and they played pretty darn well today, n'est-ce pas?
They are better than Bayern though seeing as they won back to back German Championships. Tonight we saw the evidence

SOme of you are mugs. This is the Champions League for a reason. There's some rubbish in it, but there's the best teams in World football there too, and tonight we played one of them.

We didn't play as well as we can, but we did produce some great football at times and caused them a lot of problems too. We almost scored in the first minute of the game and in the last minute of the first half. It was chance after chance apart from the last 30 mins when Dortmund really got on top. The injuries didnt help us either

Thanks for keeping up the fight on your own, you're the best blue on here.

I think we are a good side, we are a very good side, and the best city side in my 38 years attending games.

In contrast to that tonight I think we have seen the most hard working, disciplined, skilful and pacey team that we have ever played against. (Yes Arsenal blew us away 4-0 a few years ago but we weren't very good then).

Some of their individual performances made some of our players perform to their very best but some didnt quite step up.

Overall they were better than us and having just watched the post match on Sky when I got home where Stelling was banging a city were shit and very lucky drum every chance he got (and has anyone mentioned Rooney's tweet? ;-) top post) I find myself agreeing with Ray 'my word' Wilkins whose first comment was 'to be fair City came up against a very good Dortmund side'. Never a truer word Raymondo.

But do you know what.
Even though many say we were shit and slag off players all over the pitch, and even though they were the better side on the night, and even though we probably got lucky with the penner THEY STILL DIDNT BEAT US.

I still think we are a good side, we are a very good side, and the best city side in my 38 years attending games.
