City Vs Bournemouth Pre Match Thread

With so many players out the team should pick itself, but two big doubts:

1) Kompany. After missing about a month with a calf injury, can he now play 4 games in about 10 days? Clearly it wouldn't be right to ask I'm to play every minute of the next 3 games. We can't rest him at Old Trafford, or against Sevilla so that leaves today, but there are so many players already missing. Perhaps we give him an hour again.

2) Who to start up front? With Aguero out, and no Kelechi against Sevilla, can we play Bony today. I think Pellegrini will start Kelechi and bring Bony on if needed in the 2nd half.

I know a lot of teams are missing players including Bournemouth, but we are missing our special players so any kind of a win to keep us top will be brilliant.

We need to respect Bournemouth. No turning up half arsed thinking that just being City and having 80% possession mostly in our own half is enough to win a Premier League game.

The Bournemouth lads wil be up for it and pressing and fighting for every ball, and have a parked bus no doubt. Let's match their commitment then the quality should be enough to win. I'll be really annoyed if we start at slow slow sideways pass slower pace and let them get the first goal. Need to be right on it from the start, fucking relentless and get an early goal.

I'll be pissed if we make Glenn Murray look a world beater again like we did at palace last year.

Think Bony has to start. He needs game time before Sevilla. I suspect Nacho will get his name in the frame for Palace.

Think we'll line up like this today:

JH, PZ, NO, EM, BS, YT, FR, JN, KDB, RS, WB.

Hopefully an early goal for us will set the tone.

Prediction: 3 - 0 City Bony hat trick.

I can't really see the logic in those saying play Komapny for an hour. This isn't the same situation where he was able to play 58 minutes for Belgium the other night.

If he starts you have to plan for him playing 90 plus minutes. We can't the manage subs with the intention of bringing someone off at a certain point in the match as we don't not know how the game will pan out.

We cannot underestimate Bournemouth and I am sure we won't. The only way I see Vinny starting and coming off at a pre-determined ish time is if we have a comfortable lead with 20 odd min to go.

After all, barring another injury, it's unlikely Manuel would sub him off after an hour if the game was still 0-0.
