I don't think Burnley play with 10 behind the ball. They do tend to have a go and are only let down by lack of quality.

Their game is more about pressing hard and working their arses off for 90 mins.

I think 2 games in 2 days be too much for them, especially at our place.

I expect a similar outcome. 2/3 goals by 60 mins then foot off the gas to save energy for Sunderland.

Zab, Kolorov and Jovetic, Fernandinho in for this one.

That´ll do it. That and no messing with the back line. Kolarov or Clichy can do a job over on the left, but nothing other than Zabman, MDM and Mangala please.

Palace at home was awkward until we scored with a lucky deflection and Burnley are playing better than Palace at the moment.

Like others, I think Burnley might struggle more than City to handle 2 games in 48 hours due to their high workrate and squad depth.

I'd expect Zab, Kompany, Kolarov, Fernandinho and Jovetic to start giving us 5 fresh outfield players plus Toure and Silva who played 60 to 70 mins against WBA. Lampard may play too

The goal might have been lucky however that was not the reason we beat them we changed tac in the 2nd half

Sagna was fine yesterday

It's nearly always attack v defence in City home games with tactics playing little part.

Getting the first goal in these games is crucial and a game changer as it draws the opposition out, and confidence is key to a teams play - even successful teams

Be amazed if Navas starts, his workrate today was phenomenal.

Navas is the butchers dog of the team fit as anything - watching him I reckon he could play back to back matches. He is so lean and fit I reckon if anyone Could back up it would be him.

His defensive work really is important to us. Made me laugh yesterday when the camera focused on him in the middle of the snowstorm. He looked like a drowned rat! It's a long way from Seville!

zabs and aleks coming in are only changes id make personally, other than that, as we were yesterday
We rested our form midfielder for this game and you wouldn't pick him - crazy - Ferns would be the first name on the team sheet for me tomorrow - also lampard in for Milner too

I'm happy with whoever Manuel decides to play. He got it right again yesterday.
Thought Sagna, who i have criticised, had his best games for us. Don't forget
all these players ARE CITY players and i don't think their is one, who doesn't
deserve to pull on the game jersey.

Hart
Zabaleta
Martin
Mangala
Kolarov
Navas
Fernandinho
Yaya
Nasri
Silva
Jovetic

Burnley are tough to break down so we will need all our creative players for this one. Can't see how burnley are going to be able to handle silva the form he's in.

We should start with our best team, Chelski have Southampton away and they are hitting form so a potential drop of points. And the next game is not until Friday. Play the cream for 60 mins or so then they have 4over 4 days to recover.

Start with:

Hart

Zab, Kompany, Mangala, Clichy

Yaya, Fernadhino

Navas, SIlva, Nasri

Milner

Jovetic although only available striker, keep him under wraps unless needed, he is a tad brittle

Kolorov/Clichy split the time if we can afford to at 60 mins

Lamps as a sub to get his record and he is very direct and a clinical passer just when they are wilting

Demi for Kompany if we want to ease the skipper in

3-0 City

Milner, Yaya, Nasri

The only thing the team needs to do is take Burnley seriously they may not be the biggest of the best team and in all likelihood will end up relegated but we are a huge scalp for them so they may put in a cup final performance , saying all that I expect us to win and win comfortably

Home for Xmas, so first home game of the season....remember watching us beat Burnley 6-0 at home over Xmas a few years ago, when they were top of the league going into the game! More of that, please, assuming we've got a fit striker by Sunday (?)

also remember a game at Xmas against burnley at the old Maine road. We had seats in the temp stand in the corner, it was bloody freezing that day. Think we won 4-1 or was that the 6-0 ? I don't know....my memory is getting poor thee days.
