Foden is a must-start for me. This can be the season he establishes himself as a first-teamer of near equal status to Gundogan, Danilo and Stones in terms of minutes. A good performance against one of the big teams will kick-start his progression.
Me too - but is he fit? Mahrez will probably be fit enough to play as a sub. But Foden? How's his Hammy?

Foden looks fine on the video of him going into training from City’s Instagram account, so presumably it’s a very minor strain at worst.
Was there a vid of training itself, if Foden was taking part in sprints he should be fine for the weekend, if not he may end up missing Sunday as a precaution, no point risking a full-blown tear.

You read my mind. Thank-you.

Bravo

Garcia
Stones
Laporte

Bolton
Foden
Fernandinho
Mendy

Mahrez
Bernardo
Sane

My guess, strong team mixed with youth. Fern and Mendy both didn’t play much and need minutes. A fluid front 3 with Bernardo as false 9. Garcia, Foden and Bolton all deserve starts. Bravo has played well in pre season and merits a start.

He’s not physically there yet, although he undoubtedly needs more minutes..

Don’t be surprised to see him go late in the window on loan
