As I was saying to someone earlier,It could be worse-we could be playing our bogey team this weekend..

oh shit ffs!!

This where the rubber meets the road for the manager and the ream, if we don't put on a good team performance and play to our full capabilities, most fans will lose faith in both the manager and the team

Pantilimon: Joe Hart needs time to get his head in the game.
Kolarov: On better form than Clichy, has superior match fitness and Gael was poor against Bayern
Lescott: Solid, dependable and Nastasic is on a poor run of form
Kompany: Mr. Dependable. First name on the team sheet.
Zabaleta: Needs no explanation. Richards was poor v Bayern and lacks match practice. Never dealt with Ribery and gave Navas no support going forward.
Milner: The ready made replacement for Barry. Fernandinho has not convinced me yet.
Yaya Toure: Impossible to drop him the way he is playing at the moment.
Silva: Choose him ahead of Nasri because of his ability to change a game. Nothing against Nasri, who is on a good run of form.
Navas: Has a good understanding with Negredo. Always gives 100%.
Aguero: Dynamism, creativity, composure.
Negredo: His movement, finishing and drive puts him streets ahead of Dzeko.

Opinions?

If we drop Hart, how does go about getting his head in the game? Goalkeeping is 90% about confidence. Neither of the two goals he was at fault for yesterday were due to over confidence, complacency. He fell short of the standards expected of an international goalkeeper, but neither were howlers. Dropping him just puts more pressure on him when he returns.

If he's fit, I would like to see Jovetic start in a deeper role, behind Aguero or Negredo.

Would give Joe the kick up the arse he needs. In fairness to United, they did it to De Gea and he's improved because of it.

I would like to see Jovetic, but he hasn't been all to impressive when starting games so far. A brace against Wigan, but... Ya'know... Wigan...
Think he'd be better as an impact player.

I agree with giving Hart a rest. Hopefully it may spur him on, but id be tempted to try and get him to see a sports psychologist, get his confidence back.

I agree that Harts confidence has plummeted. Some errors last night,he was lucky to get away with that punch in the first half as well. Its a tough one because he needs to improve. A short spell for Panti would test his ability and if he plays bad, back comes Hart. Players should be picked for merit though at the end of the day and not reputation. Most players will be dropped at some stage and some come back better. Against Everton although not a personal fan ,like to see Lescott in and give Nasty a rest . I hope we can get an early goal and give us all a mighty boost of confidence.
Maybe we will see Jovetic played behind Negrado and give Sergio a break too. We have had some mixed luck with Kompany and Silva ,not forgetting Demichelis injured. A tough game but we should see them off, we do have some class.

Pantilimon

Kolorov
Kompany
Nastasic
Zabaleta

Milner
Toure

Jovetic
Silva
Nasri

Negrado

Drop Hart until he sorts his head out and Fernandinho constantly wastes possession - hence Milner.

To be fair Ducado, I think even I will excuse Pelligrini if we don't beat Everton, considering their recent record against us.

My main concern is our away form, if we don't get at least 1 win from West Ham and Chelsea, then I think the tide will begin to turn against the manager and possibly the team for a lot of supporters.

I suspect right now most supporter's are willing to give the benefit of doubt to the manager, but are growing concerned after last night's rude wake up call.

Nope, not now he and the team have a chance to put things right and it starts Saturday, but in a great performance and a decent win, most of us will put down last night as just a bad day in the office, but another abject display will more stupid defensive mistakes will just inflame the situation.

We have great players who are way better than they have been playing

Looking forward to seeing Everton actually playing football against us for once, rather than their usual 11 men behind the ball + 90th minute in-off-the-arse-from-a-corner goal.
