I'd play that team as well. Fulham are the masters of two solid banks of four and put more emphasis on stopping the opposition than producing anything positive themeselves therefore I think we have to play Stevie Ireland. Ireland can unlock a defence like no one else in our team and SWP has been off form for a while now. If the bench is Taylor, Kompany, Silvinho, Johnson, Pertov, SWP, Santa Cruz there's more than enough attacking options to change the game if its not going to plan. If we're serious about breaking the top 4 nothing but a win is good enough tomorrow. We need to end the Fulham league hoodoo!

Re: City vs Fulham; Match Thread (25th Octobr)

We're at home so i'd agree we don't need two defensive midfielders, not sure if Ade is fit but I'd put Bellers back in if he's trained this week......saying that, my team would be

Given

Richards
Toure
Lescott
Bridge

Barry
Ireland
Bellers

Tevez
Ade/RSC

Subs: Taylor, SWP, Petrov, Sylvinho, Weiss, Kompany or De Jong

2-0 City (Bellers Ireland)

Re: thoughts on team for tomorrow?

Given, Toure, Kompany, Lescott, Bridge, Bellamy, De Jong, Ireland, Barry, Petrov, Adebayor (Santa Cruz if Ade not fit)

Re: thoughts on team for tomorrow?

Given
Richards Toure Lescott Bridge
Ireland De Jong Barry Bellamy
Tevez Adebayor

Although obviously superman would be more central than wingclinger

who you playing at right back Toure ? whoever it is ,it doesn`t make sense to me when we have a ex england rb fit and ready to play.it will be too much of a unnecessary gamble

Re: thoughts on team for tomorrow?

I don't think the side bothers me as much as the way we approach it, the last 2 seasons we have turned in our worst home performance of the season against Fulham. Even the Cup game earlier in the season I don't think we turned in a good days work and as such we better not take them lightly.

Re: thoughts on team for tomorrow?

In my opinion the only way to defeat two banks of four defending is using the full width of the pitch and for me that means both Petrov and SWP playing.

SWP Barry Petrov

Tevez Ade/RSC Bellars

Usual back four.

Re: City vs Fulham; Match Thread (25th Octobr)

I just hope they're knackered after playing Roma. They looked good against Hull (who were admittedly awful) and they dominated in the first half against Roma and we're unlucky not to win. If we get an early goal then I think we'll win by two or three, if they score early they'll sit back and make it bloody difficult.
