City Vs Hull Post Match Thread

Great game. Merlin absolutely magnificent. Others mentions for Ota, what a game he had. Delph starting to show really positive signs. KDB great as usual. Keep everyone fit and the future looks good.

Shame he didn't bring on Garcia or Roberts but entertaining enough performance, more so when the game opened up after we took Bony off and brought someone on who can run.

Roberts wasn't even on the bench, no idea what's happened to him.

They played so well, pellers just leaves a bad taste in my mouth with his sub selection, I see no point in bringing in Demi at the end there, just baffles me

Made hard work of it but class shown in the end. Otamendi is an absolute beast. Silva good but not at his best yet which is understandable and KDB needs to be taking the free kicks from now on rather than yaya Only downside is Mangala still looks a bit shaky
Feel a bit sorry for him because he was looking great before he lost his place (for no other reason than we were obliged to play Otamendi given what we had paid for him). Looks like Mangala is the type that needs a run of games, which is probably a bad thing in our set up as he is unlikely to get them. So in that case, we night as well shop him out and bring someone in who can maintain a steady and reliable pattern of form regardless of how often he is selected.

Really, I didn't see the subs list, that's surprising though. Paid a lot of dollar for a youngster who is seemingly miles away from being ready to play any part against lower league opposition. Shame because from what I've seen, he looks quality. Can understand Manuel though in a way. He knows he won't be here to see the benefit of these kids maturing so he's going to go with the line up that's more likely to get him the win.

Solid performance

Silva easing back into the groove.

Kevin on the up again.

Thought Bony was excellent.

No complaints on that result and performance.

Onto Stoke.

Great win, looking forward to the semis. Just a shame the club would rather play Demichelis at 3-0 up with 6 mins left than Garcia. There's no reason that I would deem to be acceptable for that.

I can. Garcia is an attacking midfielder and Demichelis is more defensive minded.
Also what benefit does Garcia get from 6 minutes apart from keeping yourself happy.

Decent performance and good result. Great for Merlin to get a good run out and looking sharp. Delph definitely gives us good energy and otamendi's 1 on 1 defending is top class. And KDB looking decent again. Job done.

Their left back should be on our scouting list
Andy Robertson, watched him a few times playing for Scotland. Came through Dundee United ranks and big things expected of him. Sorry about taking it off topic

pissed me right off we dint keep the clean sheet, sure nacho was fouled to start their attack.
