City Vs Middlesbrough (FA Cup) Pre Match Thread

Sick of hearing Borough fans already going on about arab money and 8-1. We beat them more times than they beat us before our investment. Suppose it makes you remember what its like to be a lower league Club, hanging on to every decent result in the Clubs history because you've got nothing else to shout about. I think we beat United the same year we lost 8-1 to Borough?

Can't afford any complacency tomorrow, we never seem to learn that and get caught up against this type of team time and time again. Our performance in the last round against Sheff Weds the perfect example of what could happen if you underestimate a step too far. Wigan knocking us out of the Cup as well. We need to be at them from kick off, get the job done.

mourinho's mate will kcik the shit out of us tomorrow, im hoping for a strong ref

Do you watch Boro? they don't have the players to do that, they won't sit every man behind the ball and hope for free kicks and corners, they'll come out and have a real go, there's going to be spells where they keep the ball and our fans will get restless.

Expected lineup

Willy
Sagna.........Vinny......Manga.....Kola

Navas........Ferna.......Dinho......Silva

Jovetic....Aguero

Subs: Hart, Dzeko, Demi, Milner, Clichy, Sinclair & Evans.

I would like to see Clichy and Zabba in for respective fullbacks and Barker instead of Sinclair on the bench, I could also see Boyata being on the bench instead of Evans unfourtantly. Pellegrini is not to keen on youth is he, the most important thing is to win the game win no injuries. But it would be nice too see youth players get a few minutes instead of Sinclair who´s a waste of space I´m afraid.

will be a hard game but our class will be to much for them 3-1 win

We should put a strong team out as a few players still need games for match fitness, all going well bring on Evans to see what level he's at in a competitive game for cover in centre midfield.

If Scott Sinclair is in the squad, I won't be happy. I'm even a bit annoyed that he's allowed into the stadium to watch games, but wasting bench spots or even game time on him is almost insulting.

Are we back from abu dhabi yet ????
Just touched down at Manchester Airport, six hours sleep and the boys will be up for it tomorrow .
Really they just touched down now? Thought they left at 11 am this morning. With a 7 hour flight and the time diff, shouldn't they have gotten here in the afternoon?

I can see him playing a part because City want him gone and this game is another shop window.

not very holistic though is it Sam? I seem to recall the lack of "holistic" ability at bringing young players through into the squad being cited as a key reason for the dismissal of the previous manager?

I would've thought we wouldn't want him cup-tied, on the off chance that a team still in the cup want to sign him.
