These are 12th in the Championship.

I'm sure it is absolutely vital that we play a full team against them when we have Chelsea away next week.

Why did I think they were 12th?

Still, a Championship side against the Premier League Champions at home. This isn't Barca we're playing here, it's exactly the type of game where we should have young players involved

The Middlesbrough fans are pretty concerned that they're player Mejias in goal, apparently he's shit.

He will have stormer.

Let's hope not, Steve Cherry's performance against us for Notts. County still haunts me to this day.

And more recently Joel Robles

Our youth policy is an absolute disgrace.

The ones who are nearly are out on loan

It's a Championship side. Our EDS lads are more than good enough to play against that standard, especially when mixed in with the first team. It's where we send them on loan

mcfc subs: Hart, Demichelis, Sagna, Fernandinho, Lampard, Dzeko.

Not a single youth player in the whole squad for a home FA Cup tie against Boro.

Amazing.

On this occasion Damo I am 100% in your camp. There is not one player in the Boro team that would get in our squad. In that context it's very disappointing that the gaffer can't find room on the bench for a Barker, Pozo or Evans.

I don't like the message that this sends out to our youth. If we were playing Chelsea I could understand. But not when we are playing a championship team.
Can you remind me who our last two defeats in this competition were against?

Very good point, very well made

Can I remind you how many youth players we played in those two defeats in this competition?

What's the fucking point in us even having an academy? 2 lads got 45 minutes midweek, one of whom impressed and one of whom was quiet but still showed a directness that's sorely lacking in the first team and would be an interesting option to have on the bench. No fuck off lads, back to the u21's for you, we need two full backs and a 29 year old and 36 year old midfielder on the bench for a game against lower league opposition. What a fucking message to send.

The first teamers have enough on their plate against a competitive Championship side. The EDS experiment has the potential to backfire badly.

I'd far rather play against a bottom half premier league team than a promotion chasing Championship team. This is their game of the season and they are full of confidence so will be well up for this. It's going to be a really tough game, especially given our sub-optimal preperation and the performance we put in against Arsenal. We need a really strong performance from the big names to get us ready for Chelsea.

We've been shocking in the cups with our second string players showing no drive or motivation so far this season, I see this continuing today. Not even one youth member on the bench, fucking shocking.

We only going to give kids a shout when they're playing League One sides then?

So we can promise them between 0 and 1 games a season?

Sure they'll be delighted

I refer you back to the previous two seasons.

Seems like you're easily shocked. Get a grip.

The previous two season we got beat with 0 youth players in the team. Maybe we should change that and have some desire and determination from the second string this team round?

Is your solution to keep doing the same thing we've done for the past two seasons and hope we get a different outcome?
