Mario is a phenomenal player. It's sometimes baffling how he can have such exquisite skill and seem incapable of playing the ball when he's played through

absolutely.
I think it's the timing of his run rather than his touch, he gets ahead of the ball which makes it near impossible to control, and even if he does it would be with his back to goal

Wow I think I just saw savic doing something half decent. He was skinned with the ball through his feet, but somehow recovered just enuff to hit the ball away.
