Totally deserved win. We made their supposedly dangerous players look like passengers. Dreadful goal that we conceded from one of too many unnecessary free kicks that we gave away.

Excellent day for Bobby, who has to take plaudits for his team selection and tactics. His team should have finished the game off earlier but at least managed two world class finishes.

Dzeko definitely better off the bench at the moment.

Even so he has much better stats than the other strikers. How bad are Aguero and Tevez than?

Really? Seems like a perfectly reasonable comment to me. Dzeko thrives on the kind of space you get at the end of games. He hasn't looked anywhere near as convincing when he's started......and that's not a criticism cos I like the bloke. A terrific member of the Manchester City squad. Not sure what point you're trying to make about Aguero and Tevez, cos they've been playing well and scoring too!

I would agree with you, but making out Dzeko's starting ability from ONE game he gets now and then is premature and biased.
Dzeko has ZERO tolerance with Mancini. He gets one start (i.e. Ajax) and if he doesnt shine he is benched again, which is ridiculous.
I'm yet to see him start (god forbid) TWO games in a row, let alone more - which I think would then be fair evaluation of his starting production.
And I also disagree Aguero and Tevez are "playing in scoring"...they are playing, but as far as scoring go back through last 10 games - with the exception of Tevez winner vs. West Ham (was it), prior to introduction of Dzeko and/or Mario they ARE NOT scoring.

The game was crying out for width and a target man to hit. Well done Roberto for bringing on Maicon and Edin, we looked a different side. Barry ,Clichy and Pablo showed guts and determination throughout.

Hart at fault again , at least one penalty, AVB tactical genius, Dzeko God.

You couldn't blame Hart for that goal ....

the fault lay in the poor marking of three City players ....... Yaya and Kolarov 'seperated' to create the gap into which their player scored .... and Nastasic was also close enough to have done much better than he did.

Hart unfortunate, look at where ball hits him.

Roberto Mancini, speaking after Manchester City's 2-1 win against Tottenham: "It was a huge win because it was a difficult moment. We had a lot of important players injured and today I saw the same spirit from the players that I saw last year. In the first half we played well. Tottenham I didn't feel had chances apart from a couple of set pieces. We need to improve there. But after they scored first I thought we played fantastic.
