How any player can hold a grudge against Mancini after he stuck himself out for the entire team against Ajax and not feel any guilt is beyond me.

Never thought I'd see the day when we are champions of England yet get booed off the pitch by our own fans. This club has changed beyond recognition.

I actually thought we played fine in the first half, not great no, but we dominated possession, just needed a better final ball and more urgency. Absolutely nothing on the level of knee-jerking that's going on here.

Are you aware we have had one shot on target? But sure, if football is about possession, then we are doing brilliantly. Second half just pass it around the back and we should be able to snatch one point from the jaws of defeat.

nastasic is a weird one to pick out for criticism. not that he's been great but nearly the entire team has been horrific

I actually think Nastasic, Richards, and Hart have been the only positives thus far.

Nastasic? What's he done other than pass the ball to Kompany at every opportunity. When he doesn't pass to Kompany he puts it out for a throw or gives it to a Swansea player. He's been shite like the rest of them but it's hard to break down 11 men behind a ball with no width and no target man in the box.

Suppose I am watching a different match or, at least, interpreting it differently. While he has not driven down field and hit a 60 yard screamer into the top corner, he has been, in my opinion, the most consistent and reliable defender aside from Richards. Case-in-point: the Hart miracle save was needed because Kompany ran into midfield in another kamikaze attempt to cut out the ball. He was so far out of position that Michu had the fun of our third. Clichy, Barry, Nasri, and Kolarov have all given up possession far more and looked terrible in the final third, so I think reliability is something to applaud. He had one bad moment one-v-one against Pablo but that was a tough situation to be in, anyway.

I suppose you are right, though, that first half performance may have lowered my expectations as to what a "good" performance is.

Really???

It just shows how people see things differently. We were abject that half and I was wondering whether a Swans goal was needed to wake us up. But here is someone who thought we played fine....staggering

I just think that it's not something we've never seen before from this team. It's not like a lack of fast build up play is somewhat alien to us. We'll step it up in the second half, if we don't then complaints would be more justified.

I thought we played alright, just needed a little magic or something. Swansea is a good club and our team is out of form, so I never expected a 4-0 romp. Decent 1st half

See I'm not the only one.
