Strange line up, but as long as the result is a win I care much much more about the performance. Anyone slacking about not giving a shit today can stay on the bench till January. Cant afford hangovers, need to get back on track.

It would be an interesting decision to go 3-5-2 given how incensed Clichy was at being put at LCB a few days ago. You're right though, could easily start with this formation.

Yeah I think he's going with 3 at the back as a sort of fuck you to those who criticised him. Brave but I'll be seriously pissed if his ego costs us the 3 points here.

I think Mancini's right though. With top players, the formation isn't as important as the effort and concentration. This formation is used effectively in Italy and by us in the Community Shield, there's no reason it should fail so badly.

Poor football cost us a 3rd goal. And Mancini is right, if you can adapt to varying formations, then perhaps you are not good enough to be a City player. City pays the highest wages, and competes at the highest levels. It's time our players stop looking for crutches, and start acting like they are some of the very best.

Quit whining about formations, and just play like a top pro. If this switching of formations is too complexed for some of the players, perhaps its time to drop down a level, and play for the likes o f Sunderland. AJ did it. So it is not beyond reason.

I am simply getting tired of professional players whining about simple formation changes.
