Erm, im sorry to piss on your parade (pun unintended) but you've posted a pictures of the streets before utd's parade and the ours bang in the middle of the parade. Although there is no disputing the fact their turnout was laughable and ours was mint. But you've clearly manipulated it in this instance to suit your arguement
As has already been pointed out (cheers Ric), United's parade began at 10am, and that was whilst the Utd bus was coming down the road (it's right in the background of the picture) so it DOES suit my 'argument' actually, look at how Sky Sports tried to 'justify' the low turn out with notions of how the weather was keeping the fans away.
They often say a picture is worth a thousand words.
Shame it couldn't generate a thousand fans for your parade eh Raggy?

Here's a good tactic for you: put a coat on, get your umbrellas out and go and witness your first parade since 1999, the one where you should have been celebrating that Fergie had finally knocked Liverpool off their perch by winning nineteen. Nah, couldn't ask that much of you could we. Most of your lot who hadn't conned themselves into believing the turnout was actually impressive tried to use the excuse that you had one every year so no wonder demand was so low... in complete ignorance of the fact that it had been twelve years since the last one.
