This week has crawled, every day seems to be dragging out. We have every reason to be confident. This is not arrogance, rather the belief that we can win this match and the league.
This confidence comes after the Arsenal match. For the first time all season i believed that "that" was it for this season. More worryingly, it was the way we were faultering for the last month. One thing was to fail to win the league, but to fade away towards the end of the season would have been a disaster. This is in respect of where we begain again next season.
You have to view Monday night as another chance. Win or lose is just football and a typical derby game. The more important and bigger picture is that we are finishing strongly, and that is worrying the hell out of United. It is one thing to beat us this year, but another trying to figure out how to do it next year. They are shitting it because they had a 8 point lead two weeks a go. Not only would losing the league after that advantage be embarrasing, but would also be waving the white flag for the future. People talk about the balance of power shifting at some point. Well Monday has the potential to do just that....and they know it.
For us, it would be a great victory, and give us a fighting chance to win the league. For them it would be disasterous. We lose and it would be seen as a blip on the road to success. They win/draw and it would mean they (should) win the league, but with the knowledge that they wobbled and stuttered towards the end of the season.
If they do win, it will mean another year of insults. United don't do humility. They don't talk football unless they are winning. Even if we do win and go on to win the league, you will just here "come back when you have 19" etc.
So lose, and nothing changes. Win and everything changes. Monday gives us that chance....a second chance. We are in form and at home. We have the better team and momentum. If we lose it will because we deserve to, so no complaints either way.
Shitting it? NO.....hopeful?.....very!

not one bit, we are the better side, we will win if its comes down to football alone. if they beat us fair and square we move on and look forward to an incredible season next year and some cracking euro away days.
shitting it? far far from it.
On the whole I'm cool, calm and collected. I'm just looking forward to it; this is what it's all about. It's nothing like a relegation battle game, now that was a "shitting it" feeling. This is just exciting.

-- Sun Apr 29, 2012 10:31 am --

richards30 said:Just wondered if anyone is bricking it for the rag match? We cannot let this get onto the pitch tomorrow. We have to be sure of ourselves in the stands and completely positive in a full 90minute support. If we give the players the wrong vibe it will act negatively.Dribble said:I've gone to pieces over the last 24 hours. TBH, I cant wait for it to be over, the stress is killing me. It's ManUre's to lose, all they have to do is avoid defeat & match or better our results against 2 teams with nothing more than pride to play for.
Which ever way the season pans out, it been a great ride & we've made massive progress. It brought a lump to my throat to read today that the 'decider' is poised to be the most viewed match in domestic football history & that nearly double the amount of worldwide broadcasters will be present than were there for El Classico.
I'm so proud that we form 50% of this unprecedented global interest. As I said, what ever happens this season makes a welcome change from just wanting to not get beat by ManUre & to avoid relegation. I feel blessed to have Sheikh Mansour, Roberto Mancini & our current squad of players & I hope this ride never ends.
