Can we knock that "olé" chant on the head or ask the team to slow down the pace of the passing, I went dizzy and nearly keeled over due to lack of breath this afternoon !

That period of play was immense, we looked untouchable.

if our 2nd string attack can do that to an unbeaten villa side.

what the fuck are we going to do with our normal attack to some sides.

happy days.

For those interested my web page for the game is now online at

definitely not boring boring City

Forty-five passes in that "Ole" period. Not twenty, not thirty, not forty but.... FORTY-FIVE!

I watched the game on Setanta (in Ireland) and their commentator remarked upon it when it reached the forty mark. Without any particular malice, he recalled Leeds doing a similar thing back in the Revie era and that match's commentator describing it as 'somewhat cruel'. He said he could see the point but one had to admire City's brilliance.

His effortlessly delightful co-commentator (a Mr C Burley esq) even took a break from bad-mouthing us to churlishly grumble that we were playing 'like a watered down version of Barcelona' (or words to that effect).

The Telegraph's match report made passing reference (no pun intended) to City stringing "about thirty passes together".

AND ALL THE REST OF THEM SQUEEZED THEIR EYES SHUT, BLOCKED THEIR EARS AND LA-LA-F**KING LA'D.

Unbe- f**king- lievable, Jeff.

good team performance , but what is wrong with city fans , i was in level 3 , east stand , with 5 family members , and it was like a morgue , half the ground emptied with 10 minutes to go , this is a team that has just gone top of the league ahead of their nearest rivals . No chants of "top of the league" etc . Only my 4th game this season , but atmosphere against wigan and napoli was far better even the birmingham cup game was ok .We joined in all the mancini songs etc and hardly anybody in block 303 even bothered , i half expected the prawn sandwiches to come out , i have attended over 500 games from maine rd days etc , and i had more fun watching wrexham at home in the old 3rd division , at least we could laugh at ourselves then

Final Score just said 'mpre bad boy behaviour from balotelli'

WHAT? I am bathing in all their jealousy.

They might think the 'stamp' on Given. They'd be wrong if they were.
Probably reaction to his goal when he taunted the Villa fans. He was visibly angry. I expect he heard some nasty shit thrown at him a few minutes earlier when he fell down in front of them.

the reality is that if you want to go to the match and be surrounded by people singing you probably shouldn't go in level 3 on either side of the ground. Surely that can't come as a surprise to anyone? All grounds have bits that are for those who just want to sit quietly and watch the match (like the main stand at Maine road) and being that high up was always going to make the third level that area.
