City vs Villa - Post Match Discussion Thread

Right, let me just have a think about this: you tell me if I get anything wrong.
We have a "World Class Striker" currently not playing because he has been a naughty Boy and is in dispute with the Club. We have another "World Class Striker" out injured.
We had "The Big,Bad,Bosnian" sat on the Bench.
Also benched were the best Midfield Player in the Prem last Season and current French National Team "playmaker" and arguably the best attacking midfield player in the World !
Our (argueably) most consistent players Lescott and Barry had relatively poor games by their high standards; The Ref missed a clear penalty to us and the Goal we conceded was Offside.
We have just stuffed a team - a previously unbeaten team 4 - 1.
At one point in the second half we made it look like Villa had been reduced to nine men our passing and movement were that good.
We are the real deal. Bring on next week.

Milner my MOTM...also I think I've just sussed out David Silva...he NEVER makes mistakes...his percentage play is second to none...and yes I include Messi in that.You will hear many many times that Silva had a brilliant match....you will rarely if ever hear he had a stinker. Great performance by one and all today and yes even Lescott too. We made a decent side look pedestrian and dare I say it for the most part totally clueless. Roll on the swamp dwellers....

Jimmy Milner
Love the guy.
When he filled in for Micah after he went off with his head injury and shortly after we conceded our first at home this season from the right-back area - even though he wasnt at fault - he looked absolutely gutted! What amounted to a consolation for Villa left him on the deck as if we'd lost on pens in a cup final.
Five minutes later he sprays a majestic ball fifty yards, follows it up, and curls into an absolute beauty.
I honestly think we're going to do some special things this season and enjoy some very special times. But the above will still remain one of my favourite moments.
Get in there Jimmy lad. We can have all the Silvas and Agueros in the world but without someone with his qualities we wont win much.

I'm not usually one of those that get all angry over what pundits say, they don't have to wax lyrical over us. But I do expect balance. Especially on the countries national broadcaster, when more people will be watching the BBC football show than the Soccer Saturday.
There wasn't any attempt at constructive criticism. He ignored the question and went on a rant about us.

Brilliant description Jimmy built from Granite Milner is exactly the sort of player that keeps a team grounded. Often derided on this site but will always give you 100% and with playing time he becomes a better player
