Its a good signing for chelsea, hes always going to be there or thereabouts when it comes to being in right positions in the box and getting taps ins as that is what good strikers are all about.

Nothing wrong in that.. there was a chance defender would clear it (though he probably wouldn't make it) and that's natural striker instinct to do it. Will help his confidence at new team to score in derby too.
