Given the absentees,i'd like to see......

-----------------Hart-----------------
Zabaleta--Kompany---Demichelis--Kolarov
----------Yaya------Fernandinho-------
-----Milner-------Silva-------Nasri----
----------------Negredo--------------

It will be interesting to see what he does with MDM now he is fit and back in the squad. Personally, I would rather have him at CB alongside Vinny than Nastasic.

Just bumped into @Rony10Lopes leaving ground,he confirmed he's in #mcfc squad for tomorrow, told him all City fans want him to do well

Does that mean Marco Lopes will at least be on the bench tomorrow? Cant wait to see him play again:)

Yep, specially since its confirmed Navas is out of the squad for this game (precaution)

Lopes probably would have played against Blackburn had we built up a decent lead. Nice to see him involved again, he's close to a breakthrough and if English football allowed more subs like Serie A, he'd probably be on the bench every week. :)

West Ham team news.

West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce could hand Roger Johnson his first start in tomorrow night's Capital One Cup semi-final first leg against Manchester City.

The former Birmingham man sealed a surprise loan switch to the Hammers yesterday - having been out-of-favour at League One Wolves - and has gone straight into the squad.

Fellow defenders Winston Reid, James Collins and James Tomkins are all still sidelined so Johnson is likely to be partnered by Joey O'Brien or Alou Diarra in the heart of the back line.

Allardyce is set to recall a number of his first-team players, having seen his youngsters suffer a humiliating 5-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Mark Noble has an outside chance of making the clash at the Etihad, although Kevin Nolan remains suspended, following his red card in the defeat to Fulham on New Year's Day.

Provisional squad : Jaaskelainen, Adrian, Demel, O'Brien, McCartney, Johnson, Rat, Chambers, Diarra, Noble, Diame, Collison, Morrison, J Cole, Jarvis, Taylor, C Cole, Maiga.

Hopefully we can smash them early on.

we could really do with a central midfielder from the EDS being in the squad over the next few games (Huws? Fofana?), its criminal that we have to rely on only 3 CM for all the games that we play
