City Want Fans In Their Seats By 4:20pm (Please)

We stopped singing towards the end of the match like we always do. But that can’t legislate for the Nunes fuck up.
It doesn’t but it might helped the scum get the winner as suddenly they hate momentum in and off the pitch. Hardly heard anything off them for 87 minutes.

My god the rags support was absolutely shite it was like playing Fulham or Southampton, makes me laugh how they big their away support up

The atmosphere was pretty good yesterday.

I have to say, United’s away support is the most overrated in the country. Terrible for 87 minutes!

Guess it’s a long way for them to come. Must all have been knackered from the journey.
What’s that, three, four years in a row that they’ve been absolutely shite?

If I know City they'll do it again before the 12.30 Everton game and it will fall flat on its arse.
To be honest, Everton fans are pretty shite too. They take good numbers everywhere, but they're very quiet.

If they cut the PA it gives fans the opportunity to start building the atmosphere naturally. I would welcome them doing it before every game.

(although I get the point you're making....)

I think if you do it every game, it makes it less effective.

I remember a few years ago when they did the lights out for the United league cup semi final and it really worked. The club kept doing it though and it didn’t have the same impact. We played Liverpool I think and as soon as the lights went out it was pure silence…

Keep it for biggest games. Ie semi finals, the derby, league deciders.

That Liverpool game was live on sky and the lights out thing relatively new, the studio said something along the lines of "let's go to the stadium and hear the noise from the city fans as the lights go out ", que silence from the studio and all you could hear was ",you'll never walk alone", was really embarrassing.

Rome wasn't built in a day.

Going back to Maine Road, there was often no music before games. Fans would congregate on the Kippax 30 mins before KO and start singing.

Yes, if the PA got cut out for the Everton game it would be quiet, but if we did it every game for a year, next Christmas a similar game would be really good prior to KO.

There's a YouTube clip somewhere of the pre match talk on BBC for the FA cup tie against spurs in 93 and you can hear the crowd noise in the background and it's incredible.
