What's wrong with people. I want to see City win everything but after the season ends...that's it.

It's all about England. There is no other sport that gets the nation going than when England play in a major tournament.

Forget City... we don't play till August.

Has anybody any idea what will happen if we win the World Cup and how it will promote the Premier League? The hype will be unbelievable.

Even more top players will want to play in our league.....but who will have the resources to bring them over here.........

The man has a point. You should want both to do well. A choice between having to decide between one or the other will never come into the equation.

You may need to elaborate on that one. Why the fuck should I want a bunch of scummy twats of the likes of John Terry or Ashley Cole to do well? For the avoidance of doubt - I don't.

Lot of jocks on here tonight then?
I couldn't give two fucks what the rag scum have to say. Do you really think they'll stop if we win the league cup? They'll just change it to "when was the last time you won the F.A cup, league etc.."
What happened to the days when we would belittle the rags for being so arrogant as to say "I don't give a fuck about England?"
Come on England.

I'll elaborate mate. If you choose to agree or disagree is totally down to you by the way.

I was born in England, raised in England despite having both Irish, Welsh and Scottish blood. I support England (my national team regardless). Back in the late 90's when Manchester City were in the third division and the majority of Englands first team were from Old Trafford I still followed the national team. If you choose not to be a fan thats down to you. I'm not having a go, my point was you shouldn't choose between club or country as interests never conflict!

World Cup. We are guaranteed a trophy of some kind in my life time. The World Cup? not so much.

No worries - I know you're not having a go - likewise! I just didn't get your comment that everyone should want both to do well. I see the England team as a bit like the rags tbh - ie the whole "Engerland" thing really doesn't do it for me. For example, when I think "Rio Ferdinand" I see a camel faced twat giving Bellers shit at the swamp rather than supporting a fellow pro that has been in an altercation with a "fan" that has no right being on the pitch. And don't get me started on Terry/Cole! But Capello seems like a top man - hopefully he can clean the place up and restore a bit of integrity to the place.

It's all about views, when I think England, I don't think about the players. I actually think about the country, I couldn't give a crap if anyone that I don't like plays for England, when they play for England, they represent us and I want us to do well.

So would I. There's no way Im going to get behind any team with Whine Roony (or any other current rags) in it. - And before anybody mentions Joe Hart, SWP & Gareth Barry.... Hart hasn't played for us all season, while SWP (who hasn't done so either, even when on the pitch) & Barry have both intimated that they want to leave.

England winning the world cup for me,it only comes every 4 years and since 1930 we have only won it once!

its like being an extended version of a city fan supporting England still waiting for a trophy that's eluded us all these years.

its all about opinions on here but i just don't get it sometimes when an English person cant stand there own national side?
