City Women’s Team | 2025/26

Sounds like Clinton could be in line for her debut on Friday. Shes been in full training according to Jeglertz in his presser and Lohmann still injured.

Can see her coming in for Blinkilde Brown (who played well last weekend but still lacking that bit of physicality for me)
On that subject, it would be great if we could find a way to incorporate all 3 of those players in the XI, but maybe won’t happen (?)

Game against Everton away starts two hours before the men's game against Liverpool... I was hoping they would be on different days so I could go to both, but it looks like they don't care about this kind of clashes (also, not the first time this happens)

Everton not confirmed yet is it? It wasn’t yesterday when I last looked.
None of the women’s November tv games had been announced as of last evening - have they been announced today?

I get what you're saying, but 'care' isn't really the case when there are two entirely separate leagues choosing the dates and (potentially) two other TV broadcasters moving them. Depends who you mean by 'they' though :-)

I mean whoever at the wsl sets the fixtures timings. With it being the same club, plenty of the fan base follow both teams, so I think it would be better for attendances to have them on different days when possible. Maybe it wasn't, but would help plenty of us if it was considered

I think that's the problem though - The WSL and PL won't be speaking to each other to arrange matches for the benefit of fans and we know the TV broadcasters don't give a shit. I doubt the club had any say in the timings of either game

Surely the broadcasters do give a shit? Sky sports have men’s PL and WSL live rights. They don’t want to have the kick off times clashing unless absolutely necessary, hence the women’s Friday night and early Sunday or Sunday evening KO times (?)

Edit. If you mean match-going fans then agreed, though maybe the number of supporters who would actually want to attend both these games in person is really small. But if you were attending one of these games in person on that Sunday afternoon, I guess you could catch the other game on tv etc (?)

But they're not 'clashing' from a TV perspective. If you're watching on TV you can see both our games. If you're going to either game however...

Yeah, but if you're going to either game you're unlikely to get to see all/much of the other
Buddy, I’ll be straight out of the womens game 4.20pm and straight in one of the delightful hostelries of Merseyside (ideally an Everton pub if I can find one) to watch the men’s game at 4.30pm!

As for everyone at the men’s game at the Etihad, I’d genuinely hope and expect them to have the women’s match on the screens there from 2.30pm onwards pre-match. Tbf, it’s not great for @krak agreed, but rest of us should be ok

Just have to hope we don't get 10 mins of stoppages in the first :-)

I agree if you are watching on the telly it's not an issue (in this case), but for people who go attend matches it is. It may not affect too many people, but from a club perspective I think in an ideal world it would be better to avoid clashes like this when possible, maybe having both teams playing different days?
But it's just a bit of a rant from my end as I wanted to attend both games and can't anymore!

I completely agree mate, but as i said earlier, I doubt the club has had any say in the date/timing of either game
