City's €140m summer will "stun English football"

I think we can certainly say now that that article was leaked and our targets are: isco, thiago, navas, fernandhino, and cavani. I`m sure if cesc was made available we would at least show an interest depending on how far down the line the thiago deal is. was told yesterday by 2 people who frequent here who are extremely confident that cavani is nearly done and we are already a way down the line with thiago.

Hope so!!

Edinson Cavani, Fernandinho, Isco, Thiago Alcantara, Jesus Navas and Diego Novaretti make up City's stellar six-man shortlist drawn up in a series of meetings between director of football Txiki Begiristain, chief executive Ferran Soriano, football administration officer Brian Marwood and chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak

This is looking more and more plausible by the day.... did goal.com really write breaking news? I might have to take back all the bad things I've said about goal.com.

Goal.com have been a very good source for a while now mate. It's still taking time for them to shake off their old reputation though

I said earlier in the thread, Greg Stobart = good journalist. He gets good information.

So one assumes these guys are not coming to be benchwarmers. Our front 6

Isco Cavani Navas
Thiago Yaya Fernadinho

where does this leave Silva and Kun?

Can't discount Wayne Veysey either who put up a good article on the cavani situation today. Their editors have done a lot to revamp that site in the past 1-2 years. They have some very reliable guys on there and not just for the English have either

Yeah, I heard they took some of Marca's best journos as well?

Has to completely re evaluate information from Goal.com they have already got a 33.33% sucess rate staggering.

-- Wed Jun 05, 2013 6:17 pm --

Quite simply, the pace with which City are operating this summer both on the pitch and off it speaks volumes for the club's desire to not only catch their city neighbours but ultimately surpass them and become a genuine major player among the world's more powerful clubs.

Al Mubarak, the most powerful man involved in the day-to-day running of the club, has even had to delay his annual message to the fans on the club's website, such is the volume of work being undertaken in preparation for the arrival of Pellegrini and the forthcoming transfer window.
