Tony Book - with Manchester City's first "domestic treble" in 1969..... or not quite......

City were 1st Division Champions in April 1968 and followed that up by winning the Charity Sheild in the August.
The FA Cup was won by City on the 26th April 1969 - yet Leeds United were not crowned League Champions until 30th April, so for four days, City had three trophies in their cabinet...... just like today!

Great pic.
I had a framed full squad line up from around this era with all 3 trophies on display...the cheap frame broke and I'm left with the print stored away somewhere.must get it 're framed,I'd forgotten all about that.

I hope uefa and the PL are investigating this.

There is a letter on Arsenal headed paper doing the rounds as I speak.....
