They had to open the Kippax Street (originally it wasn`t open) to let all the latecomers in.The club wern`t expecting as many as that to turn up.Was at the final in 1986 the crowd was 18 thousand offically .yeah right

It was the North Stand they had to hastly open, marshalling fans around the edge of the pitch from the Main Stand for about the first 20 mins until they opened turnstiles!They had to open the Kippax Street (originally it wasn`t open) to let all the latecomers in.The club wern`t expecting as many as that to turn up.
The Kippax was always to be opened with rags stood in the away end corner as well as sat in Platt Lane (About 2000 of them In total)
