City's Losses ....

No one knows our results in the year to 31 May 2013 - probably not even City's in house accountants yet!
BDO won't sign off until about September (but they get 9 months if needed because we're not a public company). Deloitte can only base their report on figures audited by BDO if they are to have any creditability.
We have to report them to UEFA this summer though so they'll be unaudited figures. They should have a pretty good idea of the figures by the end of the month/mid-July.

Not necessarily unaudited. City will have had more than enough time to finalise their result and get it audited: they could have their statutory accounts ready for filing by then; they don't actually have to file them though. Depends how good the MCFC Finance Dept and systems are.

The first set of qualifying games are in four weeks so getting them finalised and audited by then would take some doing.

Do you know what UEFA have in place to make sure clubs can't submit 'creative' unaudited figures to them. Or would they just wait until the annual report is published and take retrospective action if the figures are materially different?

I'm guessing that latter scenario would be the case Pete but I really don't know.

With all thats going on about the legitamacy of UEFA's FFP rules and the challenges on them, I predict that f##k all will be done by Fatini and his merry bunch of Facists. There have been many great threads and very insightfull posts by the likes of PB and SWP about this, and after reading them all, I predict a whole bunch of shit storm will arise if UEFA try to implement any kind of sanction on any club over FFP. It will in time be the undoing of Platini as head honcho at UEFA. A bit of a Poll Tax U turn fiasco.

We need to be sending in our very own Agent Bernstein to get positioned in UEFA so we don't get Agent Beckenbauer or Agent Karl Heinz Rumminiger taking top job

Manchester City made the biggest loss of the Premier League clubs in the 2011/12 season - but still dramatically improved their financial performance.

The Blues made revenue of £231m but recorded losses of £97.9m, down significantly from the £197.5m of the previous 12 months.

The top five clubs by revenue in 2011/12 were Manchester United (£320m), Chelsea (£261m), Arsenal (£235m), City (£231m), and Liverpool (£189m).

Highlights of the Deloitte 2013 annual review.

Shame it's not the full report. You have to pay for that privilege.

City are mentioned, but no real meat on the bones.
