One thing that always annoys me about "net spend" is they almost always ONLY take transfer fees into account. Ignoring signing on fees, wages, agents fees, commercial revenue, match day revenue, asset appreciation etc etc
A free transfer like Alexis Sanchez can look very good in transfer net spend but his wages were astronomical.
