City's New Kits - 2019/20

Umbro said that the red and black kits didn't sell particularly well.
After the abortions of recent years, I think they would do quite well, especially if you advertise them with the big name players.

City just seem a bit shit at promoting their kits using players. Instead, they have them wearing crappy “fashion” wear. They should be promoting the kits all season.

And 2009-10

probably the nicest kit weve had in a lot time, that is city for me ,however keep churning out the same year on year that some looneys want and it wouldn't sell sponsors wouldn't be happy ,sponsorship would go down and we would end up with phil jones instead of kun aguero kun aguero ,its so simple to understand

Well, for one, we wouldn’t be on a lot of their glory hunting radars if we didn’t have the Sheikh.
true, but their money is worth the same as ours, no matter how long they've been a blue. If you ran a clothing business you wouldn't want to appeal to just a certain area if you could potentially sell global, you'd want to make as much as you can. To do this you have to keep it fresh and change it up, whilst still staying true to your core product (sky blue). it might be a bit of a marmite set of kits but I bet they sell well, and we'll make more in sales than we did for those ever so cherished umbro kits of 09/10.

But if you had a core of customers, you’d keep in mind that they will probably still buy your clothes after they’ve gone out of fashion and the trendies have moved onto the next big thing.

thats true for the example I gave, but its different for City. we're not going to lose our global fanbase. Leicester did, but they were a one-season wonder. look at Liverpool, they are still dining out on the 80's overseas, they love them. I don't think Puma adding another colour to the kit is doing anything other than freshening it up. I bet next year the kit doesn't have purple on it.

Although saying that, I'm not sure how Puma have done it, but they've gone back and edited past umbro merchandise to make it suit with their purple agenda! they've made it look like we've actually used purple and sky blue before!

I had the long version of that coat. Liam Gallagher wore it on TOTP and it made me think maybe guitar music wasn’t so bad.
