He's actually telling the truth. Dunno about the Madchester bit (hope that's made up) but the colours are correct and the home kit does have purple trim. Guessing pictures will leak online soon.

Hard to tell from a grainy photo. The purple did look a bit strange but I'm going to reserve judgement until I see it in real life. Really liked the away kit but it will probably divide opinion.

I’ll pop back in August to see if anyone offers an apology. The shirts I’ve describered are correct. Until then, I won’t jog anywhere.

Have it on extremely good authority that the Puma symbol and Etihad Airways words are in purple on the home kit. I questioned it and said surely maroon if anything, but no, 100% purple.
