City's Summer War Chest

will have plenty coming off the books from the hughes era as others have pointed out and wouldnt be surprised to see kolarov and lescott move on as well. definitely could see dzeko moving on and possibly tevez but im not sold on him moving yet as i doubt there are an takers so his contract will probably just be run down. would be really disappointed to see barry and or milner move on but wouldnt be surprised with either depending on their wages

not gonna bother speculating on incomings as its only guesswork but i expect to see a flurry of activity in the summer months. hopefully none of that deadline day rubbish like this past one even though it was fun being glued to sky all day whilst at work accomplishing nothing

Cavani/Falcao
AM/Winger
Top quality deep lying playmaker
One possibly two young versatile defenders

That would probably be circa 100 million

Kolo, Bridge, RSC and loads of older EDS fringe players will leave on frees.

I can see Kolarov leaving only a squad player yet on massive wages same goes for Lescott. Sinclair will also probably leave unless he proves himself in the second half of the season. Maicon another who I could easily see leaving. Also can see Dzeko leaving to make room for a new big named striker. Tevez will stay imo and just leave when his contract expires.

Out; Kolo, Lescott, RSC, Bridge, Kolarov, Dzeko and Milner. A nice big cash sum coming in as well as a lot of wages off the books.

In; Falcao/Cavani, young LB and a midfielder eg Benat. We need a replacement for Balo and Dzeko so one of them is essential, the LB is necessary to cover Clichy...we have been linked with Digne before so maybe him and then our midfield lacks a Benat/Alonso/Pizzaro type player and he has impressed me and won't break the bank.

I think Boyata could provide us with cover at CB if we let Rekik go out on loan but if we sell him then bring in another such as Zouma, I think Rekik should go out on loan so two starting CBs and a backup is fine considering the versatility of Garcia etc.

For the record I personally wouldn't sell Milner but I think we will/need to sign one so we have to sell someone and Barry is first choice alongside Yaya so he won't leave, we would get a nice fee for Milner as well.

A lot of people are forgetting the quota's we need to fill for the Premier League and Champions League squads.

A lot have said Lescott and Sinclair should go but their replacements aren't home grown.

Premier League and Champions League Rules state we need 8 home grown players, we currently have 9 so if we replace Lescott and Sinclair a home grown player over 21 needs to replace them. Guidetti won't count for another year.

Also Dzeko goes and is replaced by Cavani/Falcao then we will have 4 strikers under 6ft.

Can see Lescott going as it's a world cup year and his last chance of appearing in one and he's not getting ahead of Kompany and Natastic. Everton most likely especially if they get in the champions league.

Guidetti to i can see going on loan for a season with it being a world cup year, after the season he has had he needs to play football.

Can see us cashing in on Kolarov and be replaced by Rekik as i think that is where he will play not centre back.

Dzeko wins fuck all in the air anyway, never seen him actually try to win a flick on nevermind win one. Cavani is unreal in the air.

How much now with Mario's transfer fee and his wages off the accounts?

Have a feeling Mansour, Khaldoon, and Mancini will splash the cash in the Summer.

I don't think City be making the same mistakes as last Summer. Well I hope not. :-?

Well don't get me wrong and I certainly don't want to sound like a spoilt child, but for whatever reason, we have gone backwards as a squad in the last two transfer markets. If policy has now changed and finishing top four is the ambition then for me as an old fan great...but if the hierarchy want to win the Champions League/Premier league then we've now not only slipped behind the Rags but also Chelski big time imo.

As always I'm just glad we are not in the "typical City" dogfight avoiding relegation...me and my mates have already held our party for obtaining 40 points a few weeks ago like we do every year. CTID

Mario + RSC + Kolo + Bridge's wages total around £20million-per-year if you believe what's reported to be their wages anyway. That's about 10% of our total wage bill and all will be off the books by July (Mario's already are of course).
