It's not impossible to avoid the big 3 in the last 16 and quarter finals.

Juventus rescue the final by playing a struggling Dortmund teams in the last 16 and Monaco in the quarters last season, albeit they did get Madrid and Barca in the semi-final and final respectively.

When Chelsea won it a few years ago they played Napoli in the last 16 and Benfica in the quarter finals, to very good sides but both were not of the quality of the big three.

Hopefully we can get a decent draw this time around because drawing PSG is surely going to be deflating for the club and fans?!

I think Chelsea will go quite far in this competition as I think Jose thrives even more in cup competitions as his football is arguably more suited to it. If we both go through to the quarters they are not a team I would want to play.
If we have everyone back fit and firing, and get through to the quarters I would fancy us to turn them over no problem...

Cityzen from across the pond, making my first post....

Would Dzeko at Roma be ineligible for Champions League due to being on loan (if we draw them)? I know that's the case with the domestic cups and leagues, but can't recall it coming up in CL play.
-might be a dumb question, but i'm a yank, i'm doing my best haha.
Go CITY!

Benefica for me .. Genk 2nd choice but probably wouldn't see the game after drinking Belguim beers
