Monaco are a tough team no doubt but let's not forget that they play in the French league, not exactly the most demanding and the ties wont be played for another two months. Who knows by then Vinnie may be fit, Jesus could be banging them in for fun and we could have signed two pacy defenders! On the other hand...

since Harry Kane bagged 38 goals two years ago, by your reasoning does that make PL a worse league than the French one ?

We're either on a par with or marginally worse than Spurs, in terms of functioning as a proper team, and Monaco did the double over them. If we were to play them now, they'd win, but hopefully by February we'll be better and fingers crossed they might be in a bad patch of form.
