CL Last 16 vs Barcelona (feb. 24 & mar. 18)

Re: CL Round of 16 (Draw on Monday dec. 15th)

Monaco would be my option as I think they will be the easiest of the remaining teams to beat and we haven't played them in the Champions League.

Also makes a change from playing one of the favourites.

Either way if we go into the 2nd leg at least level we will have confidence and ability to get the result we need to progress.

Downside to Monaco, for City supporters who want to\can go is that their ground has a capacity of only 18,521 I think.

Wonder if I'll stand more of a chance of getting a ticket for the home tie than I did last year.
I've only been to every home game this year so no doubt I'll miss out whilst several thousand fucking tourists with half and half scarves looking for their seat before kick off take my place!

If we get somewhere like Dortmund with a decent allocation I probably stand more of a chance of getting an away ticket! (Through people I know who won't be going)

The only way that the tourists get tickets is when our fans take the 'I'm not bothered about the champions league' approach and don't buy them. Any city fan who wants one will get first dibs because of the cup scheme and points system.

I believe the Barcelona tickets went on sale for one day to Blue members with more than 500 points, I certainly got mine on that basis. Am not a 'Cityzen' this season so unsure if I will be able to obtain this time but I would expect someone who goes every game wouldn't have a problem.

We'll still have a good chance of getting 3-4,000 tickets, Monaco's attendances are really low.

It's going to be Barca and we're going to beat them over two legs.

You read it here second.

Sounds familiar. I probably heard this before last year's meeting with them.

Not moaning or owt, but can you change the thread title to 'last 16' please.

This 'round of 16' shit really does my head in.

It is, was and always will be the LAST 16.

Rant over.

Re: CL Round of 16 (Draw on Monday dec. 15th)

Monaco or porto would be preferable but fuck it with a hopefully fit squad and if yaya, merlin, sergio, vinny, joe, zabba are all on their A game then fuck it.........we would have a chance!!!!

Should be an empty Ethihad for the last 16 . I didn't think City fans were bothered about the Champions league .
Anyway we know it will be full .

That sounds a right load of bullshit.

All the Champions League matches were on open sale and getting tickets last season was easy for anyone who could muster the energy to go online. My son who has a Blue Card managed to get tickets for all home matches in the seat next to me!

Synthetic outrage.
