Class

The funny thing is it's entirely possible (though the FFP regs may affect this, depends how that all stands up) that in 20 years time there will another 'upstart' club buying its way into the top table and City will be cast as one of the 'old money' ancien régime already there, being gatecrashed.

These things are totally cyclical. I just hope none of our fans ever pulls the 'no history' line, lol.

Rags, Dippers and Chelsea fans accuse us of not having any, but what is class in footballing terms.

And when I ask them what do they mean they struggle to define it, anyone got any ideas as to what they mean by class
Can't stand idiots who use phrases like "no class" or "no history".

Yeah, no history, Manchester City have only been going for 130 years FFS. Idiots

In my experience no other teams fans have a real depth of understanding of what is happening at city. Stating we Have no class is just a cheap shot and demonstrates they have fuck all idea about what our owners stand for. Everything ADUG have done so far at city has been classy.
In any case if they were to open their eyes they would see we have
David Silva....... And he is class!

Yes, this was true up to 1992 but isn't it also the case that without our situation arising the 'big 4' had created a system which had stopped being cyclical. That is what they are so irked about

As to the no history bollocks I've always got annoyed with this even before the takeover. Clubs like Notts County have as much a story to tell as any other club. It might not be as glamourous as others but there are still as many human stories there that mean as much to their supporters as any other club

I'll never forget when Keegan (who I like) took the Newcastle job for a second time and he said that fans in the north, their clubs mean a lot more to them than those in the south do to their supporters and I remember thinking what about a Gillingham (don't ask me why, I don't know) fan who watches his team home and away, he has as much feeling for his club as any Geordie. To suggest otherwise is insulting

So all clubs have their history and mean everything to their own supporters. Only people who can't really understand the essence of what it means to be a football fan could fail to see that
