Anyone have a classic 60s, 70s, 80s, motor, either on the road or in restoration. I've been searching for a Triumph Dolomite Sprint for a couple of years now most are overpriced and full of holes. Bangers and cash, although I love the programme, has given people the idea that the non running rot box parked up in Granny's garage is worth thousands.

Always loved Triumph cars, Stags, TR6, Spitfire, Dolomite, 2.5, GT6, Vitesse.....all lovely.
Mate of mine a mechanic in Stalybridge used to strip TR6's to the bone and completely rebuild them. Won a prize or two apparently.

Had most Triumph models over the years but now the back is buggered and the legs dont work properly, I can't see me in a spitfire or any or the tr's anymore. Same old story, I can get in 'em getting out needs a length of rope, two strong blokes and a sacktruck. ; )

I drove all over Britain in my Spitfire in the 70's. I couldn't drive one on the motorway now, my arse would feel like it was on the floor, I'd be terrified. :)

Wheeler Dealers did a Sprint last year. I got the impression that the specialist garages were charging a fortune for a renovated car.

I've owned loads of classic cars. Unfortunately they weren't classic cars when I owned them. If only I kept them all in a dry barn covered in a tarp.........

Not really related to the topic at hand but I was trying to think what you'd consider a classic British car from my era and the only car I could think of that was remotely similar was...

The Vauxhall VX220. Which I kinda like...

Or the Lotus Elise itself.
