Classic City games

I still remember the drive home from that match, convinced Sturridge and Robinho were going to be the future of City for years to come.

I really enjoyed watching Aguero score 5 goals in 20 minutes, then Pellegrini took him off. I was fuming that he was denied the chance to score a double hattrick and most goals in a PL game. And he would have done.

has Pellegrini ever talked about this? i coudnt believe it. Afterwards I did some self-denial that he was saving him and the gaffer knows best etc, but these days im livid he didnt keep him on to try and get it.

I can see my two kids stood at the front near the hoardings

I was about row 4 up

They were about 12 and 10 then, every time I see that goal I look for them and the way they jumped up and down with each other.

Can get a bit emotional about it

Remember that game well. I was so pissed off with what looked like yet another defeat and then Sturridge conjured that up. Walking back up the road after felt like a win!

I made that game and will never forget we were down 0 -1. What a privilege to see Kun at his best

I bet there were some cracking games in the 1957-58 season.

We scored 104 goals and conceded 100 goals in the league and topped that up to F105 A105 with a 5-1 FA Cup defeat to West Brom.

Some scorelines from that season:
City 5 Chelsea 2
Preston 6 City 1
West Brom 9 City 2
City 5 Spurs 1
Blackpool 2 City 5
City 3 Wolves 4
City 6 Everton 2
Weds 4 City 5
Spurs 5 City 1
Leicester 8 City 4
City 4 Blackpool 3
Everton 2 City 5

Surely that must be the most entertaining season from any team ever!

Surprisingly, we did manage to keep 4 clean sheets haha.

The 2002 fa cup game v Newcastle.
played some brilliant football even when down to 10 men. Remember coming out of st James's park not that bothered about the result but buzzing that we'd outplayed a good premier League Newcastle side and couldn't wait for to get promoted.

Sad to end up losing the tie but there can’t be many better two legs in CL history?

The two games had everything: great goals, late goals, great football, two teams just going at it.
