Classic old skool tracks

Even though some of these tracks are getting on for 20 years old, to my mind they haven't aged at all and still sound modern and have 'street cred' and sound almost identical to stuff you hear in the charts today

Back in 1990 if we heard music from 1970 it sounded like it was from another generation and could at best be described as 'dad music'

Be interesting to hear from some of todays youths if they think this stuff sounds modern or ancient?

Thats because thus stuff shits all over anything heard before or since. The total evolution from Acid house to hands in the air luvvedup floorstompers that were belting out when the Hac shut and the Southern Balearic stuff thru twanging techno Prodigy,Altern 8,Utah Saints etc scene that was going on darn Sarf.
I was chatting to this young girl at work a few weeks ago and I was trying to explain the dance music scene but she just did'nt get it and kept telling me all music was dance music, done my fucking head in. The only way to understand it was to be part of it and it is probably the only thing I pine for from my younger days. Was gutted when the placcy gangsters and shite drugs finally killed it all off.

Nothing will ever beat that rush from a top pill and your favourite tunes banging out.

fuckin bang on ju.....i still get goosebumps now when one of my old fav's comes on and i start to remember some of the times i had and where i was when i heard the tune

the first time i seen lasers through smoke whilst off my face and the strobes in the hac once twatted me that bad i couldnt move for what seemed like hours...i just swayed on the stage in time to the tunes

the whole warehouse scene and travelling in convoys to raves, and then legging it from the dibble when they busted it....once woke up under a piano in a farmhouse in the middle of nowhere near chorley...aint a clue how i got there

Ha, sounds familiar....i got pulled in a Maestro work van with Careys electrical splashed all over it to see if i had a generator in the back for an impromptu rave, but all they saw were about ten faces staring back out at em..."fucking hell, you'd never get a generator in there would you?"

Think it was the same night i smashed into the back of Jocks hire van and Danby's face just appeared from behind a curtain at the back window laughing his head off.

You are a danger to all road users & pedestrians alike, I am just glad you are not on the roads near me anymore.

Slow down, you move too fast...

You were probably in the back Winny, telling me to ignore that red light. In fact....
