I really hate blaming the referee for any loss as it always looks as though you're making excuses to hide deficiencies in your team but every time we get that preening, fake haired, Ed Sheeran loving, dodgy basket in charge invariably most of the talk post match is about him.

Missed penalties and possible red card against Arsenal this season, same away to Liverpool last season, missed the basketball goal scored by Crouch 2 seasons back, bottled a stone wall penalty away to Chelsea 3 seasons ago before giving them a late soft one, even had a shocker in the 6-1. His last big match at Stamford Bridge saw him dismiss 2 Chelsea players as United got a crucial win (2 seasons ago).

He is a disgrace to the refereeing "profession" and shows utter contempt to both City and Chelsea that the biggest match left this season is in the hands of an at best incompetent at worst bent official.

Agree with all you have said. There are others that fall into that same category also. Whole profession needs a good looking at by an Indepenent (not one of their own retired) body.

Not necessarily but Chelsea can foul to their hearts content without a booking and one of our players would have to be murdered in the box before he'd consider giving us a penalty.
