Claudio Bravo's potential move to Manchester City is in doubt due to an injury to fellow Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen, according to Sky sources.

It is understood there is an agreement in place for City to sign Chile international Bravo from Pep Guardiola's former club, with the fee in the region of £17m.

However, any potential deal has been complicated by a knee injury to Ter Stegen, who is likely to be out for at least three weeks.

isnt the international break in couple of weeks? Think we could get Bravo, but it will be at the end of the window most likely.

On Bravo. Ter Stegen back in 3 weeks. L. Enrique doesn't want to play games without top GK. The club was selling for €20 but now doubts

Or Bravo will be be sold after Barca play Bilbao on the 28th as was always likely to be the case.

They play Bilbao on the 28th before the break so hope everything has already been agreed as it won't give us much time after that.

why would Barca want to sell either of there keepers to us and thats the same to any of the bigger teams with the so called best sweeper keepers out there. Bravo why would he want to leave Barca in the first case getting first team football and playing games it is not as if he isnt playing games. I think he would be happy to stay at Barca and fight for his place. Also regarding Joe who do we sell him to? You look at the teams in England. Chelsea , Rags , Arsenal , Spurs dont need him. Liverpool do but would City do business with Liverpool as Hart would be a huge improvement to them and will make them a stronger team. Only if we could sell him onto 1 of the big European teams but Hart wont leave England if he doesnt need to. So what we do this window if we do sign another keeper with Hart. Are Everton still interested in him would they be able to afford at least 30 million for Hart? I dont know if they would splash that sort of money on him,
Liverpool just bought a keeper.

Guillem knows nothing

If Bravo is indeed the one on the way out (Many predicted this, tbf) then a replacement will be sought (Diego Alves in all likelihood). If Mats' injury looks to require a longer recovery, then I can't see Bravo being on the market

As many have said, don't let sentiment cloud your judgement.

Claudio Bravo is a better goalkeeper than Joe Hart for the system that we will be playing.

Bravo is more mobile, is a better passer, and is definitely not worse than Hart as a shot stopper. He also makes far fewer mistakes.

On top of that, he is a better shot stopper than Ter Stegen and will cost a third of the price.

I thank Joe for all he has done for our club and will never forget the hand he has had in our success, but I trust in Pep and this is the right call. I wish Joe all the best in the future, but I for one hope this comes to fruition.

Well put

Pep was asked about Bravo today

"It is not the moment to talk about players of another club."

Dont really know anything of bravo.

Is he a better shot stopper than hart?
Better at coming for crosses?
Better at one on ones?
Better at commanding his area and communication with his back 4?

Im guessing he is better distribution wise or we wouldnt be going for him

If so go get him.....

However if he is weaker in all of the above then we may get better distribution but we will lose on everything else....

Genuinely never seen him play much so just wondering
In my opinion they are about equal at shot stopping
Bravo has the edge coming for crosses but that is in a different league
Joe is best at one on ones
Bravo is better at commanding his area. Others may not agree but that is my assessment
