Why is everyone so set on getting rid of Jo? He has barely had a shot to prove his worth. I would keep him and send Caicedo, Sturridge and Hart on Loan and keep Elano and Dunne. I would put Dunne on the bench though. I think Jo has tremendous upside. He's 22 and 6ft 2, and has done well for Everton.

Agreed about Elano, he is a world class player. I would also keep Schmichel, but that's just because he is a sentimental favorite of mine. I would like to have Jo, but he does not seem to like it at City. In an interview he said he is much happier at Everton. This could account for is improved form. Dunne is fat and slow, but we could use him on the bench (he can give a solid 20-min performance). And if anyone saw the Spurs game, they would have seen Petrov trip over the ball the whole time. Garrido showed promise, but is not the quality we need, and Sturridge is an excellent player who will make us a ton of money and probably come back to haunt us in a few years. IMHO.

People have short memories, this is the same lad who went hiding on the left wing when he came on at 4-0 up. No pace, the only Brazilian I have ever seen who cannot control the ball and really just an embarrasment to the club.

I know 2 Everton season ticket holders they don't rate him either.

If he signed for us 10yrs ago when we was in the 3rd tier for say 100k you wouldnt have wanted him back then. Its only down to the price tag people think he may be good enough. Get real we have all seen him play he wouldn't stand out in the conference!

Oh bull****. If we had of got a player of Jo's (At least potential) quality in the 3rd division we would have been chuffed. It is obvious he has plenty of potential, but it may be that he does not quite fit in with the English game. As bad as our scouts our, we weren't the only club sniffing around him and willing to pay plenty for him, and he certainly did well during his time in Russia.

As for the list, it is clear that we have a lot of players that need to be shipped out. But players like Petrov and Elano should not be shipped out unless they are directly replaced with similar but higher quality players. We should be aiming to get rid of the deadwood at the club, not also ship out the better players. Perhaps Petrov will not be the same, but he is still by far our second best option on the left, and imo unless we get two left midfielders (As Robinho should not imo be seen as a left midfielder in the future if possible, we do need him closer to the action) in then there is no way he should be let go yet. I still think he will come good after a full pre season anyway.
