I attend all games home and away and have done for 25 years, I fully support all City Fans at all times but there is a split developing in the support between the older boys who were there in the bad times and the younger type about student age, who symbolise what modern football has changed into.
Yesterday I had the misfortune to travel with the new, young element on the special train from Blackburn at 600pm, the way they sing all the united songs mocking our past is not acceptable particular to the old heads who were there in the bad times, Pack it in now or some of you will be getting hurt, We have humour but why mock ourselves.
Support City, Let the RAGS be paranoid about us, they are shitting it about our rise but never ever mock our club.

however they do keep the atmosphere going, stood near them at fulham and they did give it a good go, could lose of a few of the united songs though, we're becoming as bad as them singing about us all the time!!

if we were at the back mario must have flown up the stands. stop making up rubbish. we've put hours of work into setting up the blue alliance, you're made up rubbish and accusations of being a load of spotty kids that want to fight our own fans are pathetic and don't help our reputation at all. if you really have a problem with us we have a meeting today at 5pm. will happily talk then.

ok maybe it wasnt the mighty blue alliance but,

ive stood near your lot at tottenham, fulham and at munich and you do sing these songs about us winning nothing at all and we're going down with a billion in the bank or whatever it is!

don't need a meeting about it, these united songs need to stop, why cant we sing about our own club 100% of the time, like stoke and the like.

however if we win at old trafford maybe one or two versus of this is how it feels to be city could be acceptable on our way out!!

i do however see the good work you have been doing with atmosphere and making up songs but why cant you do it without bring ushited into them all the time..

All the blue alliance chaps seem sound as a pound to me. Love to know who was chanting at the back though, I don't get to away days for various reasons & its sad that in some fans eyes that makes me less of a blue. I won't be losing that much sleep over it though

I know a couple of the Blue Alliance lads from 5-a-side and they seem pretty decent lads. Work plenty of hours to afford to go to the games and let's be fair, it's not as cheap to get to matches these days. I'll also give them credit for sorting out a supporters club as well.

I think the problem stems with them being of a different generation with a lot of lads in their 40's. The older lads have endured decades of abuse about our shit performances on the pitch. For a lot of the BA lads, they just wouldn't have been about for Shrewsbury, Halifax, Luton etc.

At the end of the day, I think we need to cut them a bit of slack. I think back 20 years to when my mates and I were there age and cringe about some of our antics.

From their part, I'd expect them to be aware of how people feel about the ironic/negative chants and tone it down a bit.

I absolutely hate it when we sing about United at games we're not playing them, even though the last couple of years, this has been rare.

Songs like 'Billion in the Bank', 'Won fuck all since Elvis/Winehouse died' and 'This is how it feels' though I don't see as songs about United. I know they started them but it's about us really and it shows how far we've come and also the great City humour again.

the blue alliance are great, get the atmosphere going and keep singing going, how anyone can have a go at the them for that is beyond me, so what if it's about united sometimes- there are rivals why not, couldnt go yesterday but the majority of songs you could hear on the stream were solely about city :)
